Fundraising

The Epilepsy Services Foundation, Inc. (the Foundation) was founded in 1973. Until 1992, the Foundation provided a host of medical and other support services for persons with epilepsy. Now those services are provided by the Epilepsy Services of West Central Florida. The focus of the Foundation continues to be persons with epilepsy and their families. It is a foundation. Its mission is to "create a better future and environment for persons affected by epilepsy living in West Central Florida."  Board Members and volunteers work to provide  funding grants for the treatment and care of persons with epilepsy and their families. To achieve its goals, the Foundation developed several programs:
  • Special events
  • Direct mail campaign
  • Membership campaign
  • Contributions
  • Leave-A-Legacy/Planned Giving programs
  • Volunteering opportunities
The Foundation raises more than $60,000 annually. The monies raised are critical to meet the needs of the persons coming for medical care and other support services in West Central Florida. Building a volunteer base is also important to meeting the Foundation’s goals. Without volunteers, the Foundation would be unable to develop and expand awareness and support for epilepsy. Epilepsy can have a profound effect on a family. The Board of Directors and volunteers hope you will join us in helping our families successfully face the challenges epilepsy brings.
